Custom Kitchen Cabinets in Miami Built to Your Exact Space

Custom cabinetry designed around your walls, ceiling height, and storage needs, plus cabinet refacing and cabinet painting when a full replacement isn't the right call. One in-house team handles the design, build, and installation.

Custom Cabinets

Cabinets Set the Tone for the Entire Kitchen

Cabinets are the biggest visual surface in your kitchen and the hardest-working storage in your home. When they’re built right, everything has a place, drawers glide shut on their own, and the kitchen looks like one seamless design instead of boxes on a wall.

MIA builds custom kitchen cabinets for Miami homes where stock sizes don’t fit, storage is tight, or the owner wants a truly bespoke look. Our custom cabinetry is built from moisture-resistant plywood with soft-close hardware, sized to your exact walls and ceiling, and finished to stand up to Miami humidity.

A full custom build isn’t always the answer, though. If your cabinet boxes are solid and the layout works, cabinet refacing or cabinet painting delivers a dramatic refresh at a fraction of the cost. We do all three, so our recommendation is based on your kitchen, not on what we sell.

Cabinet Design That Wins Back Every Inch

Good kitchen cabinet design is about how the kitchen works, not just how it looks. Before anything is built, our design team maps your storage: where the pots live, how the trash pulls out, whether the corner gets a lazy susan or a blind-corner pullout, and how high the uppers should run.You see the full cabinet design in a free 3D rendering as part of our kitchen design service, so you approve the exact door style, finish, and hardware before we build. Changing your mind on a screen is free. Changing it after fabrication isn't.

Door Styles & Finishes

Shaker, flat-panel slab, raised panel, and glass-front doors in painted, stained, or textured melamine finishes. Matched to your countertops and backsplash for one coherent kitchen.

Storage & Hardware

Soft-close hinges and slides, deep pot drawers, pantry pullouts, spice racks, appliance garages, and under-cabinet lighting. The details that make a custom kitchen feel custom every day.

Moisture-Resistant Construction

Plywood boxes and sealed finishes specified for South Florida humidity. Cabinets that stay square and doors that don't swell.

Islands & Specialty Cabinetry

Kitchen islands with seating overhangs, bar cabinets, coffee stations, and built-in banquettes. If it's cabinetry, our shop builds it.

FAQ

Kitchen Cabinets in Miami, Answered

What's the difference between cabinet refacing and cabinet replacement?

Refacing keeps your existing cabinet boxes and replaces only the doors, drawer fronts, and exposed surfaces. Replacement removes everything and installs new custom cabinets. Refacing costs less and is faster, but it only makes sense when the boxes are structurally sound and the layout already works for you.

Done properly, painted cabinets hold up for years. The difference is prep: degreasing, sanding, bonding primer, and sprayed finish coats. Skipping prep is why DIY cabinet painting peels, especially in Miami humidity. We prep every surface and use cabinet-grade coatings.

It depends on the kitchen size, door style, finish, and interior storage options. Painting is the most affordable path, refacing sits in the middle, and a full custom build is the investment option. We give you an exact number for each path after a free on-site measure, so you can compare them side by side.

Installation itself typically runs two to five days depending on kitchen size. Cabinet painting takes three to five days including cure time. Refacing usually completes within a week. Custom builds add fabrication lead time before installation, which we confirm at design approval.

Sometimes. Stone countertops can occasionally be lifted and reset, but they're fragile and the risk of cracking is real. Refacing or painting keeps counters untouched. If you're replacing boxes, it's usually the right moment to pair with new countertop installation so everything is set once, correctly.

Cabinet replacement alone typically doesn't require a permit. If the project moves plumbing or electrical, like relocating the sink or adding outlets, Miami-Dade requires permits, which we pull and manage as part of the job.
